Lily, 12x12' acrylic on wood
The last few months of 2008 I was extremely busy with commissions. Each animal I paint is special and Lily is a People Dog. Most often I don't get to meet the animals I paint on commission but Lily came to visit for pictures last fall. After spending the time with her I saw such intelligence and I had an instant feeling she was a person! Around my house my husband and I often say "dogs are people too" but not all dogs are to the same degree as Lily seems to be!

I have so many paintings in my head waiting to be painted! Finally getting the time to really get going on a new series. This one is far from finished but I wanted to start the new year off by actually getting some work posted.
